To go official or not?

I am running the XPages class in November at the IBM Innovation Centre in Hurlsey. They have a website and regularly have events posted on there. I now have the choice as to whether I allow the XPages workshop to go up there and have them handle all the registration stuff for me, or do I maintain it myself.
I’m torn. I can either go the big corporate route and see how many people respond or I can take a more viral approach to this and see what comes of it.
The technologist in me is interested in how many folks will register via the blog, and the business part of me wants to make sure we have enough people to make it worth while running the event.

What to do…….. (comments welcome) ;o)

Domino XPages workshop

Written by TimsterC on Tue 23-Sep-08 – 9:29 -

Well I have finally bitten the bullet and booked classroom space in Hursley.
Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th of November.
This will be a two day “HANDS-ON” development workshop of the fundamentals of XPages that will be surfacing in Notes and Domino 8.5.
I am working with a UK Business Partner who is almost finished with their first XPages application and hope to have it ready to roll out the door the day that Notes and Domino 8.5 is released.

If you are interested in attending, and I’m thinking it will be over subscribed, then please add a comment and I’ll get back to you. If I end up using the IBM event site to register you all, those who post here will have first rights to spaces. I’m confident about hosting 24 students, but might need to limit the number of folks from each Business Partner. So please don’t add a comment that says “I need 8 spaces”, because you simply won’t get all eight.
